How to Open a Word Document in Mac without Opening Others

When you open Microsoft Word on your Mac, you may find yourself overwhelmed by the various buttons and options available in the program's interface. To help you navigate these features more efficiently, we will explore some of the most important elements of the Word window.

The Status Bar

At the bottom of the Word window, you'll find the status bar. This area displays information about your document, such as the number of pages and words you've written.

Ribbon Display Options

If you find the array of buttons on the ribbon too distracting, you can hide or reveal all or parts of it using the ribbon display options. To reopen the ribbon, simply click on the 'Hide Ribbon' button at the bottom-right corner of the screen.

Hiding the Ribbon

To hide the ribbon, click on the small arrow at the bottom-right corner of the ribbon and select 'Hide Ribbon.' This will temporarily remove the ribbon from view, allowing you to focus on your document without distractions.
